R. Bruce Holtman


Bruce Holtman was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He Began his career working in the construction business (in the union). He then started long distance running in 1980. An accomplished runner, Bruce has completed over 60 marathons, finishing first in two 100-mile races, and ran across the state of Maryland on three different occasions for the Peace Run. He was ranked #5 in the United States and #19 in the world for long distance running.
His first taste of the movie industry wa when he joined the Teamster's Union and began driving trucks for the movie sets. He then joined the I.A.T.S.I. local (487) and worked on numerous movie sets and theatres. Bruce has worked on 20 different major motion pictures in the Baltimore/DC/Virginia areas doing craft services, rigging, set dressing, grip and prop work.
For six seasons he worked craft service for the Baltimore-based drama Homicide:Life on the Street. He is presently working as a stagehand setting up Broadway shows, and rock concerts.
His acting experience includes "Homicide:Life on the Street" and "The Patriot".
Bruce is married with two daughters,
and two sons.
