ABOUT THE CHARACTER:

MAX SWEENEY has been at the Greenfield School for four years, since September 1997. Just like APRIL he moved to Baltimore recently too (from Ohio). He's the poet of the nineth grade. At the age of 14 he's already had three of his poems published in magazines and journals. He writes for the school paper and will probably be the editor within the next few years. Max is on the Junior Soccer team at school. His older sister LORINA is in the eleventh grade. She's one of the key cheerleaders at the school. Max and Lorina are totally opposite. Lorina tells the other girls to tease him when they can, so Max usually avoids the cheerleaders. His mother Adrien and his father Jonathan have been divorced for five years. Most recently Max has noticed that his mother has been going on more dates recently. Maybe she has a boyfriend? Max may soon find out!

ABOUT THE ACTOR

SHEPHERD STEDE is 15 years old and attends High School in the Panhandle of WV. He has appeared in several commercials and two national PSA's. Shepherd's interests include playing his soccer, and basketball, horseback riding, canoeing, and playing N-64. His favorite tv shows are ESPN Sportcenter and the X-Files. Shepherd and his younger brother Barham, enjoy going to work with their dad, who is a key grip, and helping with his lighting truck on commercial and movie sets. Favorite
