LAUREN WATTS is thirty-two years old and the mother of Jamie and Mark.  She owns a dress and jewelry boutique in Fells Point.  She and her ex- husband Daniel Watts were high school sweet hearts who got married too young.   She loves to garden and cook, and designs some of the necklaces that she sells at her boutique.
       Lauren did not want to get divorced.  She has always had this belief that once you're married you should always remain married.  Besides that- she's still  in love with her now ex-husband.  They got divorced because they just could not work things out.  Daniel has been thinking about a career change for a long time, (he's still thinking about it).  She  couldn't handle his indecision.  He couldn't handle her dominance.   The arguments became louder, and harder to solve.   They got divorced in August of 1998.
       Lauren has changed her hair color since then, and is remodeling the house.  She's trying to start a new life on her own, though she still hopes to get Daniel back one day.  She is  secretly seeing a therapist.  She wants to appear strong in front of the children even though she's scared of being "alone".   Daniel was her first love...
